Shelter seeks rescue to pull big-hearted Mastiff to foster care

Rescue urgently needed for Denali, a 2-year-old Mastiff awaiting safe foster placement

OCEAN COUNTY, NJ – A plea for help has been issued by Friends of the Northern Ocean County Animal Facility as they seek a registered 501(c)(3) rescue organization to assist in placing a young Mastiff named Denali into a pre-approved, loving foster home.

Denali, estimated to be about two years old, was recently found wandering the streets as a stray and taken to the shelter. Described as a playful and affectionate dog with a puppy-like demeanor, Denali is currently in need of structure, basic training, and the security of a stable home environment. While a breed-experienced foster is ready and waiting to take him in, shelter policy requires that a 501(c)(3) rescue pull the dog first.

Despite strong interest and a committed foster standing by, the shelter cannot release Denali without rescue intervention. Advocates are urgently calling for assistance to ensure the dog’s safety and transition into a stable home.

Organizations interested in helping with Denali’s rescue are asked to email kathleenfrett1@gmail.com immediately. Community members are also encouraged to share Denali’s story to help him get the second chance he deserves.
