Shooting on U.S. Highway 17 Bypass in Myrtle Beach Leaves One Injured

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — A shooting incident on Thursday night in Myrtle Beach left one person injured, according to the Myrtle Beach Police Department.

Officers responded to the 3000 block of U.S. Highway 17 Bypass at approximately 9:33 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found one individual who had sustained injuries. The victim is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital.

The scene has been secured, but authorities have increased police presence in the area as they continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
