Shopper Beaten and Robbed Inside Gambrills Wegmans

GAMBRILLS, MD – On Tuesday, Anne Arundel County Police Department officers were alerted to a stabbing incident at Wegmans, 1413 South Main Chapel Way in Gambrills, occurring around 3:00 p.m.

A 21-year-old male shopper was unexpectedly attacked by a female suspect brandishing a box cutter knife. The man managed to deflect the initial assault.

However, in his attempt to subdue the aggressor, he was stabbed in his torso. Fortunately, his injuries were not life-threatening, and he received on-site medical attention from the fire department. The assailant was detained and has since faced appropriate charges.
