Bronx store sells $150K Powerball Powerplay ticket in latest drawing

BRONX, NY — A lucky Powerball player in the Bronx is holding a ticket worth $150,000 after hitting a third-prize win with the Powerplay option in Monday night’s drawing, according to the New York Lottery.

The winning ticket was sold at TJ Lizzies, located at 3009 Harding Avenue. By selecting the Powerplay feature, which multiplies non-jackpot prizes, the player boosted their $50,000 third-tier prize to $150,000.

Powerball drawings are held three times a week—Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday—at 10:59 p.m. Numbers are drawn from a field of 1 to 69, with the red Powerball drawn separately from 1 to 26.

Winners must claim their prize within one year of the draw date, and ticket holders are only identified once they officially come forward.
