HARLEM, N.Y. – Police are searching for six men who brutally attacked and robbed a 21-year-old man inside a courtyard on West 146th Street late last month, pistol-whipping the victim before stealing his sneakers, jewelry, and cash.



The incident happened around 7:10 p.m. Sunday, September 28, inside 546 West 146th Street, within the confines of the 30th Precinct.
The victim suffered bruising and swelling to his face and body and was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center in stable condition.

Attack caught victim by surprise
Investigators said the victim was approached by six unknown men who began punching and kicking him before one displayed a black handgun and struck him in the head. The group then forcibly removed his Nike Jordan sneakers, two necklaces, $20 in cash, and a fanny pack before fleeing the scene on foot.
Police release suspect descriptions



The first suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion, last seen wearing a black mask, gray hooded sweatshirt, and black pants. The second suspect, with a medium complexion, was wearing a black sweater, blue jeans, black sneakers, and carried a multicolored backpack. The third suspect, also with a medium complexion, wore all black and had a black backpack.
Multiple suspects wore dark clothing
A fourth man, described as having a dark complexion and heavy build, was last seen wearing all black. The fifth suspect, with a light complexion, wore a red hooded sweatshirt, red sweatpants, black socks, and white sandals. The sixth suspect, with a medium complexion, wore a black Nike hoodie with white lettering, black pants, black sneakers, and carried a multicolored backpack.
Police seek public assistance
The NYPD is asking anyone who recognizes the individuals or has information about the robbery to contact Crime Stoppers. All tips can be submitted anonymously, and investigators emphasize that any detail, no matter how small, could help identify the suspects responsible for the violent attack.
