Severna Park woman arrested after daytime burglary spree linked to multiple counties

SEVERNA PARK, MD – A woman accused of forcing her way into a Severna Park home in broad daylight and stealing valuables was arrested after investigators connected her to a string of residential burglaries across county lines.

Officers responded to a break-in reported on September 17 in the 100 block of Jennings Road. Investigators say the suspect, identified as 43-year-old Shannon Kira Gough of Severna Park, forced entry into the home and made off with several stolen items.

Surveillance footage helped detectives identify a possible suspect, and a social media post seeking public assistance led to multiple tips that pointed to Gough. Authorities soon discovered she was also wanted in connection with two additional burglaries under investigation by the Howard County Police Department.

With help from the public and assistance from Howard County Police and the Anne Arundel County Sheriff’s Office, investigators executed a search warrant on September 26 at a residence in Glen Burnie. A vehicle linked to the suspect was also searched. Both searches turned up multiple pieces of evidence believed to be connected to the crimes.

Gough was taken into custody and charged via an arrest warrant in connection with the daytime burglary in Severna Park. Officials have not yet released details on any additional charges related to the cases in Howard County.
