BRICK, N.J. – The Marc Castellano Foundation will host its annual softball tournament on Saturday, drawing law enforcement teams from across New Jersey to compete while raising funds for community causes. The event will take place at the Drum Point Sports Complex, where 16 teams of local, county, and state officers will face off in a full day of games.

The tournament is free for spectators and will feature food vendors, drinks, live entertainment, and contests throughout the day. All proceeds support the Marc Castellano Foundation, a nonprofit that provides scholarships, assists law enforcement families in need, and funds public safety campaigns including the Move Over initiative.

Trooper Marc Castellano was killed in the line of duty on June 6, 2010, after being struck by a car while assisting at the scene of an incident on I-195. His family and fellow officers established the foundation in his memory, ensuring his commitment to service continues to benefit communities across the state.

A decade later, the crack of bats on the softball field remains a powerful tribute to Castellano’s sacrifice.
