South Floral Park Man Sentenced for Cocaine Possession and Weapon Charges

MINEOLA, N.Y. – The Nassau County District Attorney’s Office announced the sentencing of Hakim Jackson, a 44-year-old South Floral Park resident.

On February 15, Jackson was convicted on several charges including Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and Criminal Possession of a Weapon.

The trial, which began on January 23, concluded with Jackson receiving a 15-year prison sentence and five years of post-release supervision.

The New York Police Department Queens South Narcotics Division led the investigation. On October 26, 2019, they observed a suspicious transaction in Queens, followed by a search at Jackson’s residence in South Floral Park.

During the search, officers found approximately 285 grams of cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and three firearms. The evidence was linked to Jackson through a key found on his keyring.
