Man stabbed on Benning Road as D.C. police search for three suspects on Benning Road

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Just after midnight on Friday, a man was stabbed in the 2400 block of Benning Road NE, triggering an active investigation and citywide alert as police search for three men believed to be connected to the attack.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District, officers responded to the scene around 12 a.m., where a male victim was found suffering from stab wounds. Details surrounding the incident remain limited, and the condition of the victim has not yet been disclosed.

A lookout has been issued for three Black males in their 20s, with two described as heavyset. No further identifying information, such as clothing or direction of travel, has been released. Investigators say the motive and circumstances leading up to the stabbing are still unknown.

Authorities are urging residents not to approach the suspects and to call 911 immediately if spotted. The crime occurred in PSA 501, an area that has seen a recent uptick in violent incidents, prompting increased police presence.
