Stafford deputy arrests pair after Chipotle disturbance where shotgun was brandished

STAFFORD, VA – A family dinner turned threatening Friday evening when a known woman allegedly assaulted a man and her companion displayed a shotgun and sent death threats to the victim, according to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputy I.E. Baldi responded to Chipotle at 28 South Gateway Drive at about 6:00 p.m. after reports of a disturbance involving a firearm. The victim was in the area with his son when the woman and her boyfriend approached them, sheriff’s officials said.

Authorities allege the female, who appeared intoxicated, assaulted the victim while the boyfriend brandished a shotgun and sent threatening messages to the victim by phone. No firearm discharge was reported.

The woman was charged with assault and battery, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and public intoxication. She was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.

The boyfriend was charged with brandishing a firearm and threats of death and was held on a secured bond. Both subjects were processed and remain in custody pending further legal action.

The Sheriff’s Office provided the account via its public communications channel and did not report additional injuries or arrests related to the incident.
