Surveillance Camera Captures Vehicle Fleeing After D.C. Shooting

Washington, D.C. – The D.C. Metro Police Department is calling on the public to assist in identifying and locating a vehicle linked to a shooting in Northwest Washington yesterday morning.

Around 9:17 AM, officers were dispatched to the Unit block of M Street, Northwest, after reports of gunfire. While no victims were found, evidence confirmed that shots were indeed fired.

The investigation has determined that the gunfire originated from a suspect inside a moving vehicle, which was recorded by a nearby surveillance camera.

The MPD urges anyone with information about the vehicle or the incident to contact them at (202) 727-9099, or to send a tip via the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. The public is advised not to approach the vehicle or the suspect, but rather to leave the matter in the hands of law enforcement.
