Suspect arrested for carjacking in Linthicum

LINTHICUM, Md. — A 24-year-old man from Brodnax, Virginia, has been arrested following a carjacking at the Royal Farms store on Pinnacle Drive late on September 5, 2024.

At approximately 11:40 p.m., a 30-year-old woman was sitting in her vehicle when she was approached by a male suspect, later identified as Jayvon Justin Pierce-Russell. The suspect displayed a handgun, threatened the woman, and demanded her car keys. After the victim complied, the suspect fled in her white 2008 Honda Accord.

The victim and her friend followed the stolen vehicle and provided its location to Baltimore Police, who quickly located the car and apprehended Pierce-Russell. He was then turned over to Anne Arundel County Police and charged with the carjacking.
