MIDWAY PARK, FL – A suspect has been charged for the July 4th sexual assault against a minor.
On July 4, 2021, Onslow County Sheriff’s Office Special Victim’s Unit received a report from the Department of Social Services that a juvenile was being evaluated at a local hospital for a sexual assault.
A police investigation revealed that Richard Wayne Moore had committed sexual assault on the juvenile victim. Moore, 33-years-old of Harbord Drive, Midway Park was arrested August 3, 2021, taken before a magistrate.
He was charged with: Statutory Rape by an Adult Incest With a Child Under 13 Indecent Liberties With a Child.
Moore is currently in the Onslow County Detention Center under a $175,000 secured bond.
