Suspect Identified In Double Shooting That Killed 14-Year-Old in D.C.

Washington, DC – Authorities are seeking the public’s help in locating a suspect wanted in connection with a fatal shooting in Northeast, Washington, DC.

On August 1, at approximately 7:51 p.m., officers responded to the Unit block of Tuckerman Street, Northeast, for reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found one juvenile male shooting victim, identified as 14-year-old David Bailey of Northeast, DC, who was pronounced dead at the scene. A second victim, an adult male, was located shortly after and transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect has been identified as 17-year-old Andre Chillous of Northwest, DC.

He is currently wanted on a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant, charged as an adult with First Degree Murder While Armed (Premeditated).

Metro Police Department is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for a homicide in the District of Columbia.
