Traffic Stop Leads to Meth Charges in Franklin

**Franklin, NC** – A traffic stop led by the Franklin Police Department, in collaboration with the Macon County Sheriff’s Office, occurred on Sunday during a joint investigation.

The vehicle’s driver attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended. Methamphetamine was discovered during the incident.

Michael Quitman Beck, the driver, faces charges including felony PWIMSD methamphetamine, felony maintain vehicle/dwelling place, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor resisting a public officer. No bond was issued for Beck.

Passenger Danelle Kay Jimenez was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Jimenez received a bond set at $1,500.

Fiorentino Arrested on Gun and Drug Charges in Seaford

**Seaford, DE** – The Delaware State Police have taken 19-year-old Asjmeir Fiorentino into custody for gun and drug-related offenses after a traffic stop in Seaford.

On Monday at around 12:31 p.m., Sussex County Governor’s Task Force members observed Fiorentino’s Ford Edge traveling westbound on Concord Road with a registration issue. Upon stopping the vehicle, they identified Fiorentino and discovered he lacked a valid driver’s license. Detectives detected the scent of burnt marijuana and identified a marijuana cigar in the vehicle’s center cupholder.

Following the initial investigation, Fiorentino was apprehended. A search revealed a Polymer 9mm handgun, extended magazine, multiple rounds of 9mm ammunition, 1.62 grams of crack cocaine, 1.66 grams of marijuana, and various drug paraphernalia.

Fiorentino faces multiple charges, including possession of a firearm during a felony, carrying a concealed weapon, and possession of an untraceable firearm. Subsequently arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, he was jailed at Sussex Correctional Institution on a $44,403 bond.

Wilkes-Barre Police Arrest Woman on Drug and Public Intoxication Charges

**Wilkes-Barre, PA** – On January 16th, officers from the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department responded to an incident on South Grant Street involving a woman obstructing the roadway. The incident occurred at 1:48 a.m. in the 100 block of the street.

The woman, identified as 37-year-old Carrie Hiemenz of Wilkes-Barre, was reportedly under the influence of a controlled substance. Her condition was deemed hazardous to her safety, leading officers to detain her.

During the arrest process, officers discovered drug paraphernalia in Hiemenz’s possession. Additionally, there was an outstanding arrest warrant for her from the Luzerne County Sheriff’s Office.

Following the discovery and arrest, Hiemenz was transported to City Headquarters for further processing. Police have charged her with possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication.

Penn Hills Man Arrested on Rape Charges

**Pittsburgh, PA** – A Penn Hills man, Raymond Byrdsong Jr., 38, was taken into custody after being charged with raping his former girlfriend.

Byrdsong is facing charges including felony counts of rape, aggravated indecent assault, and sexual assault related to an incident on December 12. On that day, the victim reported to police that she was forced into her home’s basement and assaulted before she could escape to her mother’s house.

Following a 911 call, Penn Hills Police found Byrdsong in a running vehicle outside the victim’s residence. Byrdsong fled at high speed and had been evading capture since.

Earlier this week, Penn Hills Police requested assistance in locating Byrdsong. Detectives discovered he was hiding in a residence on Shenandoah Drive in Penn Hills and arrested him at 7 p.m. Tuesday, finding him concealed under a bed. Byrdsong was taken into custody without incident and is now at the Allegheny County Jail.

Thomas Robinson Arrested in Quincy for Firearm-Related Charges

**Quincy, MA** – On Monday, at approximately 8:45 AM, Thomas Robinson, 63, of Quincy was arrested by the Youth Violence Strike Force with support from Massachusetts State Police and Quincy Police. Robinson was taken into custody near Jackson Street in Quincy.

At the time of arrest, he was wanted under a warrant from Dorchester Court. The charges include Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Assault and Battery with a Firearm, and Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Dwelling.

His arraignment is scheduled to occur in Dorchester District Court. The charges are linked to an earlier incident reported in Mattapan.

On Friday, December 20, 2024, around 11:37 PM, officers responded to a shooting incident at 130 Delhi Street. The officers found a male victim with a gunshot wound, provided medical aid, and Boston EMS transported the victim to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Hospital Assault Leads to Charges After Patient Release

**Utica, NY -** On December 25th, Utica Police officers responded to a reported assault at Wynn Hospital. Staff reported an incident where a patient allegedly assaulted a nurse by grabbing her hair and throwing her to the ground.

Following the assault, the patient kicked and hit the nurse while continuing to pull her hair. Due to being admitted to the psychiatric ward at the time, the patient could not be immediately charged.

On December 31st, the patient, identified as 23-year-old Tyehsa Bowman from Utica, was released from care. Subsequently, she was charged with assault in the second degree.
