Dover man arrested for shooting and killing his 67-year-old mom

Dover, DE- Delaware State Police arrested Kyle Leonard, 35, of Dover, for murder Friday night. On January 7, 2022, at approximately 7:19 p.m., troopers were dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of Harriet Street, Dover, for a reports of a shooting. Kyle Leonard called 9-1-1 and advised he had shot and killed his mother inside the home. When troopers arrived, Leonard was contacted in the front yard of the residence and was taken into custody without incident.  Troopers located the 67-year-old female victim deceased inside from an apparent gunshot wound. The handgun was also located and recovered at the scene.

Dover Man Sentenced to 18 Months for Fentanyl Trafficking Charges

            CONCORD – Marc Martin, 44, of Dover, was sentenced to 18 months in federal prison for  two counts of possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute, Acting United States Attorney John J. Five shot, one dead, one critical in Dover

Dover, DE– Delaware State Police are conducting a homicide investigation that occurred Sunday morning in Dover. On October 10, 2021, at approximately 1:03 a.m., troopers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Nathaniel Mitchell Road, Dover, DE for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, troopers located three males and two females who all suffered gunshot wounds. All victims were transported to Bayhealth Hospital Kent Campus for treatment.
