Man Arrested for Drug and Firearm Offenses in Dorchester

**Boston, MA** – Officers from the District B-2 (Roxbury) Drug Control Unit conducted a drug interdiction in Dorchester’s Grove Hall neighborhood, resulting in the arrest of 51-year-old Manestreem Forty-Four of Greensboro, Alabama, on Saturday.

The operation followed community complaints about drug activities and the illicit sale of unstamped cigarettes affecting local businesses. Acting on the intelligence gathered, officers from the B-2 unit performed targeted patrols to address these issues.

On Friday around 11:00 AM, officers observed Forty-Four engaged in several hand-to-hand transactions from his vehicle, which led to individuals leaving with illegal Newport cigarettes. Surveillance continued into Saturday around noon, where officers spotted similar actions.

Upon contacting Forty-Four, he resisted arrest but was quickly subdued. A search of his vehicle uncovered cash, unstamped cigarettes, bags of marijuana, and a loaded 9mm firearm. Forty-Four is set for arraignment in Dorchester District Court facing charges including drug possession, unlawful possession of a large-capacity firearm, and other related offenses.

**WALL TOWNSHIP, NJ** – Four individuals face charges of drug and weapons offenses following a car stop in Wall Township. On Sunday night at 9 p.m., Patrolman James Yannazzone stopped a vehicle on Highway 33 & 34 near the Howell Township border for a moving violation.

The driver, Erin Bozeth, 45, of Brick Township, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, cocaine, crack cocaine, brass knuckles for unlawful purposes, drug paraphernalia, and implements to defeat a drug test. Erin Murphy, 36, of Atlantic City, faced similar charges, including possession of prescription drugs, along with warrants totaling $4,000 from Lakewood and Middletown.

Robert Trella Jr., 50, of Lanoka Harbor, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, and crack cocaine, alongside a New Jersey State Parole warrant. Ryan Killeen, 27, of Wall Township, was also charged with drug possessions and paraphernalia.

**Freehold, NJ** – A local youth soccer coach confessed to numerous sexual offenses against former student-athletes, according to Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago, who made the announcement on Monday.

Ryan Gunsauls, 33, from Union Beach, pleaded guilty last week before Monmouth County Superior Court Judge Christie Bevacqua. His charges included first-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child by Manufacturing Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), second-degree Attempted Endangering by creating CSAM, and second- and third-degree Endangering through Sexual Conduct.

The investigation began earlier this year, led by MCPO Detective Joseph Mason, involving the MCPO Special Victims Bureau and Union Beach Police Department. A juvenile reported Gunsauls solicited and shared explicit materials via a social media app. Eight more victims, aged 11 to 17, were identified, resulting in Gunsauls’ arrest in May and subsequent detention as the case proceeds, as ordered by a Superior Court Judge.

**Boston, MA** – On Tuesday at 1:38 PM, law enforcement officials from District C-11 (Dorchester) apprehended a 13-year-old male on firearm-related charges following a call about an individual with a gun at 197 Centre Street.

The report originated from the Neighborhood Charter School on Centre Street, where students had seen a gun in a vehicle with two juveniles. Officers were given descriptions of both the suspects and the vehicle, which was determined to be stolen.

Upon arriving at Cheverus Street, officers located the vehicle and noted one juvenile exiting and one remaining. The juveniles’ behavior led officers to call for additional units, resulting in their subsequent detention. As officers attempted to secure the juvenile in the driver’s seat, he fled the scene.

Following a pursuit, the juvenile was cornered and seen discarding an item over a fence. Officers later found a silver and black Smith and Wesson SD40VE firearm with ten rounds. The stolen vehicle was removed, and the juvenile faces charges including firearm possession and trespassing, with an expected court appearance at Dorchester District Court.

Chief Peter S. Cooke, aged 58, has been charged with third-degree Computer Theft and third-degree Conspiracy to Commit Shoplifting. The investigation, led by the MCPO Professional Responsibility Unit, uncovered that between February 2019 and August 2023, Cooke misused a law-enforcement database to access personal information about two individuals without a lawful purpose.

Additionally, it was revealed that Cooke, while on administrative leave, assisted a co-conspirator in committing multiple shoplifting incidents at a local grocery store during August and September. The charges against Cooke were served earlier this month, with proceedings set to occur in Monmouth County Superior Court.

**Newark, DE** – The Delaware State Police took 26-year-old Savon Roy of Newark into custody for several drug and traffic charges after a pursuit on Monday afternoon.

On Monday at approximately 1:45 p.m., a trooper identified a gray Ford Fusion with a fictitious Delaware temporary tag on East Chestnut Hill Road near Marrows Road in Newark. Upon confirming the tag’s false registration, the trooper attempted a traffic stop. The driver ignored the stop and accelerated into Brookside Plaza Shopping Center before driving over a curb, across a grassy area, and onto Marrows Road. The vehicle continued moving at high speed onto Kensington Lane before stopping on Korda Drive, where Roy fled on foot but was soon captured.

While in custody, Roy experienced a medical emergency and was taken to a hospital by EMS. During the investigation, remnants of an off-white powder were found in a ripped plastic bag concealed in Roy’s pants. Additionally, a vehicle search uncovered multiple bags containing approximately 61.5 grams of marijuana. A background check showed Roy had an outstanding arrest warrant from the New Castle County Police Department and other pending charges.

Boston, MA – Fugitive Unit Officers Arrest Two for Firearm and Drug Offenses

Fugitive unit officers from the Boston Police Department arrested two individuals, Evan Velez, age 37, and Emmanuel Arnauld, age 30, for firearm and drug-related offenses on Thursday at 3:00 PM. The arrests took place in connection with a surveillance operation near 58 Cedar St., Roxbury.

The officers were on the lookout for Evan Velez, wanted on a firearm-related arrest warrant. Surveillance noted Velez walking toward a pickup truck in a parking lot, where he entered the front passenger side. The officers intervened at this point, removing Velez from the vehicle and taking him into custody.

Upon searching, Velez carried an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency believed intended for drug distribution. Additional investigation led to the discovery of 513 grams of cocaine beneath the driver’s seat of the truck owned by Emmanuel Arnauld, who was subsequently arrested.

**Dorchester, MA** – Authorities arrested Jaydell Pouriet, a 25-year-old from Dedham, for firearm-related offenses following a traffic stop at 10:25 PM, Monday, November 4th, at 883 Blue Hill Ave., Dorchester. The arrest was made by the Youth Violence Strike Force (YVSF) and Massachusetts State Police Gang Unit.

Officers patrolling near Harvard St. and Blue Hill Ave. noticed a vehicle being driven with revoked insurance. They initiated a traffic stop near 883 Blue Hill Ave., with four occupants in the vehicle.

Upon investigation, officers discovered a firearm concealed in a void within the vehicle’s center console. Jaydell Pouriet was identified as the driver and detained, with detectives recovering a Kel-Tec P3AT handgun containing five live .380 caliber rounds in the magazine.

Pouriet faces motor vehicle violation charges and is expected to appear in Dorchester District Court. The charges include operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, unlawful possession of a firearm, and unlawful possession of ammunition.
