Brooklyn gang member sentenced to 10 years for West Indian Day Parade shooting
BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A 25-year-old Brooklyn man was sentenced to 10 years in prison Thursday for shooting a rival gang member during a confrontation at the 2023 West Indian Day Parade, prosecutors said. Ricardo Brown, of Bedford-Stuyvesant, was convicted of first-degree assault last month. Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice Laura Johnson also sentenced him to five years of post-release supervision.
