**White Oak, PA** – A teacher’s aide has been charged following an incident at Francis McClure Elementary School in White Oak, according to the Allegheny County Police Department. The General Investigations Unit investigated a report alleging the aide assaulted a 5-year-old male student with special needs.
The investigation determined the incident happened on the playground on November 7 at around 11:45 a.m. Video footage shows the aide, identified as 53-year-old Amy Kevicki, grabbing the child by the neck and pushing him to the ground. Kevicki then ignored the child and walked towards the building. No injuries were reported.
After working with the district attorney’s office, detectives have charged Kevicki with misdemeanor simple assault, misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child, and summary harassment.

**Incident at Sto-Rox Upper Elementary Leads to Charges**
**Pittsburgh, PA** – The Allegheny County Police have pressed charges against an adult paraprofessional following an incident at Sto-Rox Upper Elementary.
On Monday, the police department’s General Investigations Unit received a ChildLine report regarding a contractor. The contractor, employed at Sto-Rox Upper Elementary, allegedly struck a 10-year-old student with special needs.
The investigation revealed that the incident occurred on Thursday. Video evidence shows the student in the hallway when London Simmons, aged 31, allegedly opened a door into her, causing her to fall and break her glasses. Witnesses reportedly saw Simmons leave the scene without offering help, and the student suffered a minor eye injury.
After discussions with the district attorney’s office, charges were filed against Simmons. She faces endangering the welfare of a child and simple assault, both misdemeanors.
