**UTICA, NY** – The Utica Police Department has requested the public’s help in finding Raymond C. Warmuth.

Warmuth is a 70-year-old white male, measuring 6 feet tall and weighing 160 pounds. Authorities have stated he is a level 3 sex offender.

Warmuth is wanted by the Utica Police Department for failing to register his current address. Efforts to locate him have been ongoing.

Woman Arrested in Utica for Prostitution-Related Offenses Involving Police Struggle

**Utica, NY** – On Friday at approximately 12:40 p.m., Utica Police officers attempted to arrest Julie Mitchell, 55, of Utica, on charges related to prostitution. Mitchell reportedly resisted arrest and engaged in a physical altercation with the officers.

During the confrontation, one officer sustained a shoulder injury while trying to detain Mitchell. Officers eventually subdued Mitchell with assistance from additional units, allowing them to arrest her.

Mitchell faced several charges, including assault in the second degree, prostitution, and resisting arrest. She was subsequently taken to the Utica Police Department for processing.

The injured officer received medical attention and has been placed on medical leave for an unspecified duration.

Hit-and-Run Suspect Arrested in Utica After Investigation

**Utica, NY** – The City of Utica Police Department has announced progress in a hit-and-run incident reported on Monday. A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle on South Street near Genesee Street.

On Monday, the Criminal Investigations Division collaborated with the Mohawk Valley Crime Analysis Center to leverage technology across the city, which led to a suspect’s identification and arrest. They employed FLOCK license plate reader technology along with city pole cameras.

The suspect, identified as 25-year-old Miguel Fernandez of Utica, has been charged with Leaving the Scene of a Serious Personal Injury Accident. The victim of the accident remains in a medically induced coma, with their condition described as critical but stable.

Domestic Incident Interrupted by Gunfire in Utica

Shots Fired Incident Leads to Arrest in Utica

**Utica, NY** – On Friday at approximately 5:15 a.m., Utica Police responded to an incident on the 1400 block of Miller Street, investigating reports of shots fired. A man and a woman informed officers that the woman’s ex-boyfriend had initiated an argument at her residence.

As another male arrived, the suspect approached his vehicle, knocked on the window, and fired two shots, missing the driver. The victim then left the scene, contacted 911, and later returned.

Following the incident, a criminal investigator was assigned to locate the suspect. The suspect’s vehicle was identified and towed for further investigation. Since the suspect was not found initially, the NY/NJ US Marshal’s Regional Taskforce was engaged in his apprehension efforts.

By Wednesday, the task force learned that the suspect was on the 200 block of Pleasant Street. Law enforcement, including METRO SWAT and Utica Police, negotiated with the suspect for approximately 30 minutes before he surrendered without incident. A search at the location uncovered a loaded 9mm handgun and narcotics.

**Utica, NY** – Utica Police’s Special Investigations Unit, alongside the Oneida County Narcotics Unit and Utica Police Patrol, executed a search warrant targeting narcotics sales on Thursday. The operation took place at 1427 Oneida Street, apartment E5, following community complaints.

During the search, investigators discovered cocaine of felony level, along with scales and packaging materials. These findings led to the arrest of Shawanda Taylor, a 39-year-old resident of Utica.

Taylor faces several charges including two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree for sale and weight. Additionally, she is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree and two counts of Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia in the second degree.

Man Arrested in Utica for Knife Threats

**Utica, NY** – Utica police were called to the 800 block of Bleecker St on Saturday for an investigation regarding a menacing incident involving a knife.

Upon arrival, officers spoke to several individuals who reported that a known male had joined their conversation. During the interaction, the man brandished a large knife and threatened the group before fleeing when another person approached.

Police received a description of the suspect and located him near Bleecker St and Nichols St. He was detained without incident, identified as 28-year-old Hamadi Abdullahi from Utica, and taken to the local police department.

Following the investigation, Abdullahi was charged with three counts each of menacing in the second degree and endangering the welfare of a child, along with criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree.

Teen Driver Charged in Utica Incident

**Utica, NY** – On Wednesday at approximately 3:15 PM, a collision involving a motor vehicle was reported on the 400 block of Blandina Street in Utica. Utica Police and Fire units responded to the scene after an altercation led to a vehicle striking multiple individuals.

Upon arrival, first responders discovered several people with injuries from the incident, which stemmed from a series of altercations throughout the day. A 17-year-old female driver allegedly drove her vehicle into the crowd, with four people reportedly struck. The victims’ injuries were serious but not life-threatening.

The investigation led authorities to identify and locate the suspect and the vehicle in Frankfort. Following the collection of medical documentation and witness statements, the teenager was charged with various offenses.

The charges include two counts of attempted assault in the first degree, two counts of assault in the second degree, attempted assault in the second degree, reckless endangerment in the first degree, and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree. Additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues.
