Ted Cruz slams “Squad” member Cori Bush and her anti-American tweets on Fourth of July

Missouri Congresswoman Cori Bush, a progressive Democrat has raised more than a few eyebrows after launching a 4th of July attack on Twitter against the very fabric of the United States. Bush, instead of celebrating the day America gained its independence from colonial England, used it to launch an attack to define America as a racist country that still employs slavery against black people.

“When they say that the 4th of July is about American freedom, remember this: the freedom they’re referring to is for white people. This land is stolen land and Black people still aren’t free,” the far-left Democrat leader tweeted. “When they say that the 4th of July is about American freedom, remember this: the freedom they’re referring to is for white people. This land is stolen land and Black people still aren’t free.”

Texas Congressman Ted Cruz said Bush’s brand of hate is what continues to divide Americans.

“Hateful, divisive lies. The Left hates America. Believe them when they tell you this. Two years ago, Colin Kaepernick tried to spread the same lies on July 4,” Cruz said citing Fredrick Douglas. “Douglass rightly—and ferociously—called out injustice. But contrast Douglass’s hope, optimism, passion for justice, and unifying call for America to live up to her grand ideals with the “Squad’s” angry, hateful, consistently anti-American venom.”
