Teen arrested in July South Philadelphia mass shooting that left three dead

Philadelphia Police

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – A 17-year-old is in custody Friday morning in connection with a deadly South Philadelphia mass shooting that killed three people and injured others earlier this summer, authorities said.

SWAT officers and homicide detectives executed a search warrant at a home on the 1500 block of South 25th Street, where they found Brandon Fischer, 17, inside. Police said Fischer was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Homicide Unit for processing.

The arrest stems from the July 7 mass shooting on the 1500 block of South Etting Street, where three people were fatally shot. Police have not released further details about Fischer’s alleged role in the attack.

Fischer faces charges including murder, attempted murder, multiple firearms violations under the Uniform Firearms Act, and other related offenses.

Officials said the investigation remains active and ongoing. A booking photograph has not yet been released.
