Teen fugitive arrested for assaulting state trooper during traffic stop, fleeing

YORK, PA – Today, Pennsylvania State Police Troop J in York has announced the arrest of 18-year-old David Joseph Pratt. Pratt was wanted for assaulting a trooper during a traffic stop in East Lampeter Township on May 11, 2021. After providing false identification, Pratt moved into the driver’s seat of the 2004 Honda Civic and struck a trooper while fleeing the scene.

The trooper sustained injuries but was later treated and released.

Pratt was driving a 2004 Honda Civic with the license plate LKM-0953 and was considered armed and dangerous. He had an active arrest warrant for robbery.

The arrest concluded a nearly two-year search for the suspect. Pratt now faces multiple charges, including aggravated assault and fleeing an officer.
