Teen girls shot in East Baltimore walk into hospital for help

BALTIMORE, Md. — A shooting early Sunday left two female victims injured in the Eastern District, prompting a police investigation after they arrived at a local hospital with gunshot wounds.

At approximately 12:09 a.m. on June 22, Eastern District patrol officers were alerted to the hospital following a report of walk-in shooting victims. Officers arrived and located a 17-year-old female and an 18-year-old female, both suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives later determined that the shooting occurred in the 2600 block of Erdman Avenue. Evidence was recovered at the scene, but no arrests have been made.

The identities of the victims have not been released, and police have not disclosed any potential motive or suspect description.

Eastern District detectives are continuing the investigation and are urging anyone with information to contact them at 410-396-2433.
