Teen shot in the head, murdered in Brooklyn – No Suspects Identified

BROOKLYN, NY – A 16-year-old boy was found shot to death Saturday night on Eastern Parkway, sparking a homicide investigation that remains active.

Police responded to a 911 call for an assault just before 8:50 p.m. and discovered the teen lying unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the head.

Emergency Medical Services pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

Police investigate deadly shooting

Officers from the 71st Precinct responded to 1196 Eastern Parkway, where they found the teenager unconscious and unresponsive. Detectives spent hours canvassing the area for witnesses and surveillance footage as part of the investigation.

Victim identified

Police identified the victim as Tyson Harps, 16, of Park Avenue in the Bronx. Authorities have not disclosed a possible motive, and it remains unclear whether the shooting was targeted or random.
