Teenage Girl Injured in D.C. Shooting

WASHINGTON, DC – A teenage girl sustained non-life-threatening injuries after being shot near Howard University and Banneker Community Center at midnight on Sunday.

Officers responded to a shooting report on the 2500 block of Georgia Avenue in Northwest D.C. at around 12:30 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered the injured teen and transported her to a hospital for treatment.

The police are seeking information regarding the case and urge anyone with details to call 202-727-9099. Anonymous tips can also be sent via text message to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411.

This case remains under investigation.
