This week’s Freehold home sales top $1.5 million as February market heats up

February 16, 2026

Freehold, NJ – The Monmouth County housing market showed remarkable strength this week, with several high-end properties changing hands and a steady stream of mid-range homes finding eager buyers.

Leading the week’s activity was 3 Bowers Drive, a stately 5,569-square-foot home that sold for $1,550,000 on February 12. Built in 2003, the four-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bath residence fetched $278 per square foot and spent just over two months on the market. The property was listed by Aleksandr Pritsker of EXP Realty, marking one of Freehold’s priciest transactions so far this year.

Another luxury closing came just a day earlier at 52 West George Street, where a brand-new, move-in ready home in Renaissance Estates sold for $1,149,990. The four-bedroom, three-bath home offers 3,314 square feet of living space at $347 per square foot, reflecting continued demand for new construction in central New Jersey.

Mid-range homes also moved swiftly, led by 16 Irwin Avenue, which sold for $520,000 on February 9. The three-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bath property, built in 1957, lasted only 11 days on the market. A few blocks away, 12 Brinckerhoff Avenue closed at $550,000 after 12 days. That two-bedroom, 1.5-bath home, originally built in 1935, achieved an impressive $399 per square foot.

At the entry level, a two-bedroom townhome at 706 Zlotkin Circle sold for $330,000 on February 13 after 24 days on the market. The 1,311-square-foot unit, built in 1987 and listed by Andrew Laumbach of RE/MAX Revolution, drew strong interest from buyers seeking affordable options in the Freehold area.

  • 3 Bowers Drive leads the week’s sales at $1.55 million
  • New construction at 52 West George Street closes for $1.15 million
  • Mid-range homes under $600,000 sell in under two weeks

Real estate professionals say Freehold’s early-year market is being fueled by tight inventory, rising demand for move-in ready homes, and steady relocation activity from northern New Jersey and New York commuters.
