Truck driver killed after crash on I-95 in Newark

NEWARK, DE – A Pennsylvania man died Monday afternoon after his dump truck slammed into a concrete median on Interstate 95 in Newark, according to Delaware State Police.

The crash happened around 2:30 p.m. on September 29, when an unloaded Freightliner dump truck was traveling southbound in the center-left lane approaching the Churchmans Road overpass. For reasons still under investigation, the driver suddenly braked and swerved left, striking the concrete median.
