PHILADELPHIA, PA – Two Philadelphia police officers were injured early Monday after their marked patrol vehicle was hit by another car in the city’s 25th District, authorities said.
The crash occurred around 12:34 a.m. at the intersection of Germantown Avenue and Glenwood Avenue when a green Honda HR-V collided with the police vehicle. Both officers inside the cruiser sustained injuries and were transported by another police unit to Temple Hospital for treatment.
Officials said both vehicles suffered significant damage and required towing from the scene. The department’s Crash Investigation Division is leading the ongoing investigation.
