One dead and another critically wounded in two shootings minutes apart in Philadelphia

Philadelphia, PA – Two shootings just blocks and minutes apart on Monday left one man dead and another fighting for his life as police worked to determine whether the midday gunfire in different neighborhoods were connected.

Roughly 30 minutes later, at 11:43 a.m., officers responded to another scene on the 2900 block of West Gordon Street. There, police discovered a 24-year-old man who had been shot multiple times across his body. He was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead at 12:04 p.m.

Investigators have not identified the victims publicly and said no arrests have been made in either case. Police have not yet confirmed if the two shootings are related but said both investigations remain active.
