Two suspects arrested in D.C. armed robbery

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Two suspects have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery that occurred Thursday afternoon in Northwest Washington, where a victim was assaulted and robbed at gunpoint.

The incident took place on Thursday, December 19, at approximately 1:47 p.m. in the 4200 block of Kansas Avenue NW. According to police, the suspects approached the victim, assaulted him, brandished a handgun, and demanded his property. The victim complied, and the suspects fled on foot.

Shortly after the robbery, patrol officers spotted two individuals matching the description provided by the MPD Real Time Crime Center. The suspects were stopped, positively identified, and taken into custody.

Police arrested 18-year-old Robert Henry Jr., of District Heights, Maryland, and a 17-year-old male from Southeast D.C. Both have been charged with Armed Robbery.

The case remains under investigation as police continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident. Anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact police.
