Wilmington, DE – Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place at a grocery store on Friday afternoon.
At approximately 3:30 p.m., troopers responded to a report of an armed robbery at La Oaxaquena Grocery Store, located at 107 North Maryland Avenue.
Preliminary investigations revealed that two suspects entered the store and demanded money, with one suspect brandishing a handgun.
The armed suspect fired a shot after losing balance while reaching for the cash but did not injure anyone.
The suspects fled with money and personal property from an employee, leaving the scene in a dark colored sedan.
