Two Teen Suspects Arrested in Schenectady Murder of Usman Pirzada

SCHENECTADY, NY – Following a shooting near Lincoln Ave and Steuben Street, two suspects were charged on Wednesday.

The Schenectady Police Department, in collaboration with the New York State Police and Troy Police Department, arrested Jevoun G. Drake, 19, of Schenectady, and Jose Y. Amey, 18, of Troy, in connection with the homicide of 21-year-old Usman Pirzada.

Drake faces charges of Murder in the 2nd Degree, Robbery in the 1st Degree with a Firearm, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd degree.

Amey is charged with Robbery in the 1st Degree.
