PHILADELPHIA, PA – Two people were hospitalized Monday evening following a double shooting on the 3800 block of Fairmount Avenue, police said.
Officers from the 16th District responded to the scene around 6:29 p.m. after reports of gunfire.
An adult male victim was found with multiple gunshot wounds and rushed by police to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition.
A second victim, an adult female, was also transported to the same hospital after being struck in her left side. She is listed in stable condition.
No arrests have been made, and investigators have not recovered any weapons from the scene.
Police searching for suspects
Detectives from the department’s Shooting Investigation Group are leading the case and canvassing the neighborhood for witnesses and surveillance footage.
Authorities have not released information regarding a possible motive or suspect description.
