LINCOLN, Del. — A woman who was critically injured in a shooting on Sunday in Lincoln has died, Delaware State Police confirmed. The shooting, which occurred on September 8, 2024, on Deep Creek Drive, is now being investigated as a homicide.

Troopers responded to the residence at approximately 6:48 a.m., where they found two victims with gunshot wounds: Denise Mosley, 43, and a 20-year-old man. Denise Mosley was transported to a trauma hospital in critical condition but died from her injuries on September 9. The 20-year-old man was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a nearby hospital.

The suspect, Nicholas Mosley, fled the scene but was later apprehended. He is currently being held at Sussex Correctional Institution, and authorities say updated charges are pending.

The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit continues to investigate the incident.
