Teens arrested after failed armed carjacking attempt in Northeast DC

Washington, DC — Four teenage boys have been arrested and charged in connection with an early morning armed carjacking attempt in Northeast DC that ended with the suspects fleeing empty-handed after the victim managed to escape.

The incident occurred around 4:40 a.m. on Sunday in the 4200 block of East Capitol Street, Northeast. According to investigators, the victim was sitting inside their vehicle when a group of suspects approached. One of them allegedly assaulted the victim and demanded the car at gunpoint.
