VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – The Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) is investigating a fatal accident involving a bicyclist that occurred on General Booth Blvd.
Officers responded to the 900 block of General Booth Blvd. at 11:12 p.m. on Saturday for a reported accident involving a bicycle. Upon arrival, officers found a vehicle and a bicyclist, identified as 34-year-old Christopher Malik of Pennsylvania.
First responders provided immediate aid to Malik, but he succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The driver of the vehicle remained on site and cooperated with investigators.
No charges have been filed at this time.
