Virginia man killed in Lincoln three-car crash identified by Delaware State Police
Lincoln, DE – A Portsmouth, Virginia man has been identified as the victim of a deadly three-vehicle crash that unfolded Friday in Sussex County, according to Delaware State Police.
Michael Smith, 68, was killed in the collision, which remains under active investigation by the DSP Troop 7 Collision Reconstruction Unit. Authorities have not yet released details on the circumstances of the crash or the other drivers involved.
The fatal incident occurred in Lincoln, a small community in southern Delaware, and drew a significant emergency response. While Smith’s identity was withheld pending notification of next of kin, State Police confirmed his name earlier today.
Investigators are urging anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage or relevant information to contact Master Corporal K. Argo. Police are also asking the public to reach out via Facebook messenger or through Delaware Crime Stoppers.
