WALL TOWNSHIP, NJ – Wall Township Police made multiple arrests during the week of November 17 through November 23, including several for driving while intoxicated and others on outstanding warrants.
The department’s weekly arrest blotter detailed eight separate cases handled by patrol officers across various highways and neighboring jurisdictions.
Several DWI arrests across local highways
On November 18, Patrolman Trent Powers arrested 54-year-old Alvin Bond of Burlington for driving while intoxicated after investigating a disabled vehicle on State Highway 18.
Three days later, Patrolman James Yannazzone arrested 67-year-old Alfred Picone of Neptune for DWI on State Highway 70, and Patrolman Powers arrested 57-year-old John Holthusen of Wall for DWI and endangering the welfare of a child after a hit-and-run on State Highway 34.
On November 22, Powers also arrested 42-year-old Antonio Guzman-Sanchez of Lake Como for DWI following an accident on State Highway 70. Patrolman Tyler Martin later arrested 42-year-old Cayton Erhard of Toms River for DWI on State Highway 33 early November 23.
Warrants lead to multiple custody transfers
Patrolman Jared Conte arrested 34-year-old Richard McKenzie-Simon of Jackson on November 19 for an outstanding warrant after a traffic stop on State Highway 18.
The next day, Conte transported 25-year-old Brielle Morgan of Whiting from the Atlantic County Jail on a Wall Township criminal warrant.
Eluding and shoplifting warrant arrests also reported
On November 21, Patrolman Collin McCarthy arrested 53-year-old Ronald Kalafsky of Point Pleasant on a shoplifting warrant after coordination with Asbury Park Police.
The following day, Sergeant Timothy Margadonna arrested 22-year-old William Ofori of Long Branch for eluding following a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 18.
All DWI suspects were processed and released in accordance with John’s Law, while those with active warrants were turned over to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution or released after posting bail.
Wall Township Police reported eight arrests last week, including five for DWI and several others for warrants and eluding police.
