LAKEWOOD, NJ – An Orthodox Jewish rabbi, Yisrael Knopfler was arrested by Lakewood police officers on Monday night for getting unruly with police officers who responded to a complaint of violating the state’s ban on large gatherings. Rabbi Knopfler was charged with resisting arrest, obstructing the law and violating the Governor’s ban on large gatherings. Knopfler is currently engaged in a lawsuit against the state claiming the governor’s executive orders are illegal.
