Chester County Powerball ticket wins $250K prize after Power Play boost
MIDDLETOWN, PA — A Powerball ticket sold in Chester County is now worth $250,000 after matching four white balls and the red Powerball in Monday night’s drawing, and using the Power Play option to multiply the prize.
The winning numbers drawn were 7, 33, 50, 57, 66 and Powerball 23. With the Power Play multiplier of five in effect and a $1 add-on, the usual $50,000 prize jumped to $250,000.
The winning ticket was sold at Wawa, located at 1195 Pottstown Pike in West Goshen Township. That retailer will receive a $500 bonus for selling the prize-winning ticket.
The winner has up to one year from the date of the drawing to come forward. Pennsylvania Lottery officials will confirm the identity only after the ticket is validated and the claim is processed.
More than 33,500 other Powerball tickets purchased in Pennsylvania also won prizes in Monday’s draw, including thousands enhanced by Power Play and Double Play options.
The Powerball jackpot has rolled to an estimated $593 million annuity, or $277.6 million cash value, for the next drawing on Wednesday.
