Man arrested after firing gun during dispute with parking attendant at DC Wharf

WASHINGTON, DC – A 37-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an August shooting at the DC Wharf, where he allegedly fired a gun during an argument with a parking garage attendant before fleeing the scene, police announced Monday.

The incident happened on the night of Friday, August 22, around 9:40 p.m., in the unit block of Parker Row SW. According to investigators, a dispute broke out between multiple suspects and a parking garage worker. During the altercation, one of the suspects reportedly damaged the garage’s exit gate before pulling out a firearm and firing two rounds into the ground.

No injuries were reported. The suspects fled the garage immediately after the shots were fired.

After a two-month investigation, detectives identified Timothy Adams, of Southeast, D.C., as the shooter. He was taken into custody Monday on a D.C. Superior Court warrant and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) and Possession of an Unregistered Firearm.

There is no word on whether additional suspects are being sought.
