Woman fatally stabbed outside Bronx storefront in early morning attack

BRONX, NY – A 35-year-old woman was fatally stabbed during a violent early morning assault outside a Kingsbridge Road storefront on Sunday.

The attack occurred around 4:10 a.m. in front of a East Kingsbridge Road store, police said.

Officers responding to a 911 call found that the victim had suffered multiple stab wounds to the chest.

Victim transported by private vehicle before being pronounced dead

According to investigators, the woman was initially taken by private vehicle to BronxCare Health Systems before being transferred to NYC Health & Hospitals/Lincoln, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.

Detectives from the 52nd Precinct canvassed the area and reviewed surveillance footage as they searched for the suspect responsible for the deadly assault. No arrests have been made, and a motive has not been determined.

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending proper family notification, authorities said. Police urged anyone with information about the incident to contact the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline as the investigation remains ongoing.
