Woman dead, man wounded in Pittston Circle shooting under investigation in Baltimore County

TOWSON, MD — A deadly shooting early Sunday morning in the 200 block of Pittston Circle has left one woman dead and a man hospitalized, prompting a homicide investigation by Baltimore County Police.

Officers from the Franklin Precinct responded to the scene at approximately 1:50 a.m. on November 9 following a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found both an adult male and an adult female suffering from gunshot wounds.

Medics transported both victims to area hospitals. The female, identified as 24-year-old Chariyah Woods, did not survive her injuries. She was later taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, where an autopsy will determine the exact cause and manner of death.

The male victim’s condition has not been released, and police have not yet disclosed any details regarding suspects, motives, or the relationship between the two individuals.

Baltimore County homicide detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
