Woman robbed at knifepoint outside Newark Dunkin’

NEWARK, Del. — Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Saturday afternoon outside a Dunkin’ on Geoffrey Drive, where a woman was held at knifepoint and robbed in broad daylight.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., troopers responded to 48 Geoffrey Drive after a 32-year-old woman reported that an unknown man approached her on the sidewalk, put a knife to her throat, and demanded her belongings.

The woman handed over her purse, and the suspect fled the scene on foot. She was not physically injured, police said.

The suspect is described as a Black male in his 30s with short dreadlocks, wearing dark clothing. No surveillance images or video have been released at this time.
