WOODSIDE, NY – A $50,000 third-prize Powerball ticket was sold at Mars Deli on 48th Avenue in Woodside for the December 23 drawing, according to the New York Lottery.

The winning ticket matched four white balls and the red Power Ball to secure the prize. Powerball numbers are drawn from a pool of one through 69, with the red Power Ball chosen separately from a pool of one through 26.

Powerball drawings take place every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m., giving players three chances each week to win big prizes.

The New York Lottery reminds all players to check their tickets carefully and sign the back of any winning tickets. Prizes may be claimed up to one year from the date of the drawing.
