BRONX, NY – Police are searching for a man who robbed and injured a 20-year-old woman as she waited for a bus in the Bronx earlier this month.
According to investigators, the incident occurred around 7:10 p.m. on December 11 at the corner of East Burnside Avenue and Valentine Avenue. The victim told police she was waiting for an MTA bus when an unidentified man approached her and demanded money.

When she refused, the suspect allegedly pushed her to the ground, grabbed her purse—which contained about $500 and identification cards—and fled the scene. The woman suffered stomach pain and was taken by EMS to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.
The suspect is described as a male last seen wearing a dark-colored jacket, black sweatpants, and black and white sneakers.
Anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity or whereabouts is urged to contact the NYPD.
