Louisville, KY – A popular YouTube content creator faces multiple child pornography charges linked to material allegedly shared on Kik. Michael David Booth, also known as “Mr. Crafty Pants,” is accused of distributing child sexual abuse material.

Booth, 39, was arrested on October 22. He appeared in court the following day, where he entered a not guilty plea to several charges, including 10 counts of distributing material depicting performances by minors under age 12 and 15 counts for minors over age 12.

An arrest citation revealed that an undisclosed tipster reported the Kik account in August. The account was investigated, and selfies of Booth were said to match the shared material.

The arrest citation further stated that the IP address tied to the Kik account corresponded to Booth’s residence. Court documents indicated that Booth allegedly shared material featuring children under 12 on at least 10 occasions.

His latest video on YouTube, reported by local Fox affiliate WDKY, was posted four months ago. His bond is set at $100,000, and he currently remains in custody at the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections.

Booth’s next court appearance is scheduled for October 31.
