13-year-old girl forcibly robbed in the bronx

SOUNDVIEW, N.Y. — The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a grand larceny involving a teenage victim in the Bronx last month.

According to the NYPD, the incident occurred on Thursday, April 24, at approximately 3:26 p.m. in front of 1247 Morrison Avenue, within the 43rd Precinct.

A 13-year-old girl was standing at the location when an unidentified individual approached her and forcibly removed a necklace from her neck. The suspect then fled southbound toward Westchester Avenue.

There were no injuries reported in connection with the incident.

Police have released surveillance images of the suspect and are continuing to investigate the case.

The suspect has not been apprehended, and officials have not released a detailed description beyond what is seen in the attached media.

The theft occurred in broad daylight, and detectives are asking any witnesses or individuals with information to come forward.
