A 16-year-old male has been arrested and charged as an adult in connection with a shooting earlier this month in Baltimore’s Southern District that left a 28-year-old man injured, police said.
On April 25, at approximately 10:30 a.m., District Action Team officers arrested the juvenile in the 800 block of Pontiac Avenue without incident. He was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with attempted first-degree murder.
The charges stem from an April 12 shooting in the 3600 block of St. Victor Street. Southern District officers initially responded around 4:42 p.m. that day to a report of a shooting in the 900 block of East Patapsco Avenue. There, they located the 28-year-old victim, who had suffered gunshot wounds.
Investigators later determined the victim was shot on St. Victor Street before being found at the secondary location. His condition has not been updated, and no further information on his injuries was released.
Authorities have not said whether the suspect and victim knew each other or what the motive may have been.
